mistake: 間違って行われた行為や不正確な発言･記述の他, 無分別な行為やそれによる不都合な結果をいう日常的で一般的な語

error: mistakeとほぼ同じように用いられることもあるが, 〘ややかたく〙 で標準･規範からの意図しない逸脱を表し, 「誤りというのは起こるものだ」, 「誤りは修正すればよい」といった心理のもとで, 話し手以外の「誤り」についていう場合に好まれる
