wide: 物事の幅・領域などが広いこと. 特に両端点間の距離を強調し, しばしば比喩的に, 物事が多種多様であることを含意する. 時に意味を強めるために wide-open などの複合語の形を取る.

broad: 物事の範囲・範疇・意味・定義などが広いこと. 特に面的な広がりを含意する.

large: 面積が広いことを表す最も一般的な語.

big: large より主観的でくだけた語

vast: 極端に広く広大な(!通例限定的に )

extensive: 外へ広がるように広い

spacious: 部屋などの囲まれた空間が広い

roomy: 中に人や物が入った後でもゆとりがあるほど広い

open: さえぎるものがなく広い(!通例限定的に)
